When Should I See An Orthodontist for braces?
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that a child’s first evaluation with an orthodontist should happen no later than the age of seven or at the first sign of orthodontic problems. Not only does orthodontic treatment perfect beautiful smiles it also helps boost confidence, enables a healthier lifestyle, and can serve as prevention for more serious future dental work for you or your child.
Our Technology Saves You Time!
At Uncommon Orthodontics, we use self-ligating brackets (Damon® Q and Damon® Clear) that do not require the use of elastics, meaning fewer appointments and less friction being placed on each tooth. Therefore taking less time out of your schedule with less time spent in the chair or in the orthodontists office.
How a treatment plan for braces works:
- It starts with a personal consultation where you will receive a smile scan using one of our state-of-the-art iTero Element® scanners or receive impressions from a mold.
- With these images and molds, your doctor can create a treatment plan to precisely plot every tooth movement throughout the course of your treatment.
- Once this treatment plan has been devised, your orthodontist can present your customized treatment plan.
- Once your treatment plan has been finalized and agreed upon, your braces will be bonded and you begin your journey to a perfect smile!
